Needs in Management

Hari nie blaja pasal LEADERSHIP.

Wah, byk sungguh teori2 yg dikemukakan oleh pakcik2 yg berlainan. Tp satu bende yg pakcik2 nie sume setuju adalah --> 'needs influence manager's behaviour in leadership'.

Yg 'needs' tu plak mcm2 jenis. Ade pakcik yg kate chronological, ade yg kate x. Sume pun aku rase betul. Berkait sesama sendiri.

Ade satu teori nie menarik perhatian aku.

"McCllelands' Acquired Needs":
  • Needs for achievement (dikategorikan sbg workaholic dan boring sbb asyik striving for achievement)
  • Needs for affiliation (managers need to be liked and loved to work with workers)
  • Needs for power (they will do anything to get the power, x kesa org suke ke x or berjaya ke x)
Personally, i like the 2nd one. Aku rase itu aku. Aku nak sume org rase senang dgn aku sbb memudahkan keje, tp this is what my lecturer said:

"Out of these three types of managers, the 2nd one turned out to be not so good manager compared to the other two"

Hoh.

Berfikir sejenak. Dan aku rase mmg ade kebenarannya. Berdasarkan pengalaman, aku rase aku mmg bukan manager yg bagus dengan nak jaga hati sume org. Mmg bagus jaga hati org, tp kadang2 tu sampai keje x jalan. Aku nie jenis kalau tau ade org x puas hati dgn cara keje aku ke ape ke, aku mesti akan terpk-pk. Tu yg aku x ske.

Nampaknye, kene laa ubah cara tu yea Cik Iynas. Tukar ur needs. Maybe i'll go for 'needs for achievement'. Biar laa org kate boring asal buat dgn cara betul.

Jadi manager in business, x penah terpk mase kat skola dulu. Even buat business pun aku x nak. X amek course perniagaan pun, but look at where i end up with. Tu laa, jgn cakap x nak, kan da dapat. Huhu. X jadi manager dalam business pun, dalam kehidupan sehari-hari kte adalah manager diri kte sendiri. Kte bukan hidup sorg2, so set ur needs because it influences ur behaviour.

But as i said earlier, teori nie salah satu dari mcm2 lg teori 'needs' yg dikemukakan oleh pakcik2. Kalau nak tau, sile laa amek course MGMT101.

Wahaha.
